About NDISFind
Is NDISFind free to use?
Yes, NDISFind is completely free for participants, families and support coordinators. You can search our full directory of 5,700+ providers without creating an account or paying anything. Our site is funded by advertising.
Is NDISFind affiliated with the NDIS or the Australian Government?
No. NDISFind is an independent, privately operated directory. We are not affiliated with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, or any government body.
How often is the directory updated?
We update our directory monthly to reflect the latest registered provider information. Provider data is sourced from the Disability Support Guide, which maintains regularly updated lists of NDIS-registered providers across Australia.
Why is a provider not showing in your directory?
Our directory covers registered NDIS providers listed by the Disability Support Guide across six service categories. Some providers may not be included if they are newly registered, operate in niche categories, or if their registration status has recently changed. Always verify a provider's current status at the
NDIS Commission website.
How do I search for a provider near me?
Use the search tool on our
homepage. You can search by suburb name, postcode, provider name, service category and state. Type your suburb or postcode into the location field and select your state to see providers near you.
About the NDIS
What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that provides funding to Australians with a permanent and significant disability to access the support and services they need. See our full guide:
What is the NDIS?
Who is eligible for the NDIS?
To be eligible you generally need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident under 65 years old with a permanent disability that significantly impacts your daily life. Eligibility is not means-tested — it is based on your disability and its impact, not your income or assets.
How do I apply for the NDIS?
You can apply by calling the NDIS on
1800 800 110, visiting your local NDIS office, or submitting an Access Request Form online at
ndis.gov.au. You will need supporting evidence from your treating health professionals.
What is the difference between a registered and unregistered NDIS provider?
Registered providers have been approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and must meet strict quality and safety standards. Unregistered providers have not gone through this approval process. Whether you can use unregistered providers depends on how your NDIS plan is managed — participants who self-manage their funds have the most flexibility.
Can I change my NDIS provider?
Yes. You have the right to change providers at any time, with appropriate notice as outlined in your service agreement (usually 2-4 weeks). You do not need permission from the NDIA to change providers. See our guide:
How to Choose an NDIS Provider.
What should I do if I have a complaint about a provider?
First, raise your concern directly with the provider. If you are not satisfied with their response, you can make a complaint to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission by calling
1800 035 544 or visiting
ndiscommission.gov.au. You can make a complaint anonymously if you prefer.
What is a Support Coordinator?
A Support Coordinator is an NDIS provider who helps participants understand and use their NDIS plan, find and connect with other providers, and navigate the disability support system. Support Coordination is funded as a separate line item in some NDIS plans. Ask your NDIA planner if it can be included in yours.
How much does the NDIS pay providers?
The NDIS sets maximum prices for most supports through the NDIS Support Catalogue (formerly the Price Guide). Registered providers cannot charge more than these rates for most services. You can find the latest pricing at
ndis.gov.au.
Where can I get more help with the NDIS?
Contact the NDIS directly on 1800 800 110 (Monday to Friday, 8am–8pm). You can also get free help from your Local Area Coordinator (LAC), a Support Coordinator, or disability advocacy organisations in your state.
